My g-g-g grandfather was Jordon Epperson, a deacon at the Big Springs Baptist Church. I'm looking for information on that church, I believe it is no longer around, or the name has been changed? I would really like to get information on how to access those old church records, as I belive his daughter, Hannah Elizbeth Epperson may have been married in that church to Lena Jasper Wixom, sometime around 1871. (Brown) maiden name Cook George Lunsford abt 1829 Kentucky (He was Rose's 2nd husband. Rose also had a son MR. Brown a son Richard Brown who married Nancy Selph. They are listed in the 1880 census as Richard brown 25, Nancy Brown 17, Lem...y Brown 9m. I would really like to find out any info on LEM...Y as I have no idea what the name is. Rose's parents were Roscana (cook) Anderson Hiram cook married in Lawrence co Tenn July 9 1821 and thats as far as I got on them. Sarah Jane Hixon's parents I am at a loss here. I know that James Lee Hixon is buried next to Sarah he may be her father? I also believe Alfred Hixon was her brother? Any help here would be great. I have the grave site pictured. James and Tennie had a daughter named Laura who married Edward Thurman. They are my great grandparents. Laura died in 1976 in Lanagan Mo when I was 6 years old and I can remember her being small and skinny with white hair. I am trting to get info on her family.
