According to the 1900 Gentry, Benton Co., AR Census, she was born in Dec. 1844, AL and called Mariah J. They are quite lengthy and extensive I will go ahead and thell you that Jesse & Mariah Josephine Roundtree were married in MO. I suspect Greene Co., as the Roundtree family were very well known at Springfield, and very prominent. I'm trying to locate anyone researching the James F. Owens, born about 1865 in MO and his wife Anna born about 1872 in MO. Their children were Stella M. born about 1890 in MO, Allice born about 1892 in MO, Maggie born about 1896 in Mo, George W. born about 1897 in MO and married May______-they both lived in Decatur and is buried in the Decatur Cemetery, Frederick W. born about 1900 in MO, Isaac H. born about 1902 in MO, Nora born about 1904 in Ark, Bennie (or Benjamin) born about 1907 in Ark, and Charlie S. born about 1909 in Ark and married Lolatha born about 1913. They lived in Decatur, Benton Co. Mo and found on the census' 1910 and again about 1930. In April 1930 James F. Owens was a widower and was dealing in real estate. Darnell & Martha (Brooks?). He is my gggg-grandfather. I am researching his family as well. One of his son's, Miles Darnell is my ggg-grandfather (b. 22 Sep. 1838 in S.C. (d. 9 Jan. 1883 Mo.). They settled in S.W. Missouri. Had 11 kids. I have most all of their b & d. dates. As far as I can tell, Miles left the Pickens area with his wife Elizabeth Weaver (cherokee lineage) with 7 children between 1872 and 1874. Perhaps they came with Wm & Martha and Miles' siblings. According to some later censuses, two of Miles & Elizabeth's children were born in Ark. and I've been trying to find out where. Terriza Canna b. 10 Dec. 1874 & George Thomas b. 17 Apr. 1877. Is Sarah another child of Wm. & Martha? Do you have all of Wm. and Martha's kids names/dates? And, this unmarked cemetery, do you have more info on that?
