David, My Robison (aka. Robinson, Robertson) came to Benton County from Boone County after the 1900 census taking. They lived (and many still do) in the Siloam Springs area. My g-grandfather will William Wyatt Robison. William's father was William H. Robi(n)son who married Agness Kirk. He war killed at some point during the Civil War. They are found in the 1840 Marian County Census and the 1850 Franklin County census. I have not been able to locate them in the 1860 census. One story tells they were living on Mulberry Mtn. and he was killed at home when the Union Soldiers marched thru killing all adult males that found at home sites. Another story tell that he either knew or befriended a man by the same last name and asked if anything happened to him that the man watch over his family. This man, David A. Roi(n)son, and Agness married before 1869 and had one son, Charley; a half-brother to my g-grandfather. I have not found them in the 1870 census, but they are in Boone Co in the 1880 census. David died bet. 1880 and 1882. Agness received a land patent in Boone county in 1882 in her name. She died bet. 1900 and 1910, presumably in Boone County. The name appears in the various census as Robinson and Robison. Then in 1900 Agness and Charley appear as Robertson; he carried that name until his death. Both William H. Robi(n)son and David A. Robi(n)son are brick walls for me. William was born in VA, David in KY. I do not know if either had siblings or who their parents were. It was owned by Joe Robison. Does anyone have any information on this saw mill? Years of operation, type of processes (did they just trim the bark or was it set up for cutting boards, etc.), etc. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated. If any Robinson in Benton County married a Kelly girl, she was my father's sister born about 1910. There were two sons of that marriage, but it was about 1948 when I met them for the only time. My sister Marie Kelly Privitt who lives in Farmington near Fort Smith, knew them much better......and probably knows where the Robinson boys (our age) are. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sue" <suesouthard@suddenlink.net> To: <arbenton@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, October 21, 2007 10:39 AM Subject: Re: [ARBENTON] Robisons in Benton Co. > David, > > My Robison (aka.
