Pedro is roughly half-way between Tontitown and Siloam Springs. It is/was just on the north side of present day US 412 and just east of the Martin Pedro Road. It sits beside a creek that travels up to Illinois River. Maybe someone know the name of the creek. I do have the coordinates: Lat: 36 10 06 & Long: -94 24 14 Phil Smiley
Sue I travel Fairmont Blvd. and there is a cemetery on that road. Do you need something from the cemetery? Patsy
I haven't done a lot of research on my Davidson line to date other than my direct line; working on too many lines at one time. The furtherest back I go with this line is Alexander (Alex) Davidson married Elizabeth Ann Martin. They were my g-g-grandparents. Alex was killed in the "Battle of Fayetteville" during the Civil War. I will check the information I have at home on their other children and see if I can come up with anything to help you. It will be next week before I can get back to you. Could your give me an approximate time line when your Davidson was living/age today? s -----Original Message----- From: cwilburn [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, March 29, 2005 6:05 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [ARBENTON] Pedro Do you have a "Blackburn Davidson" in your line? Robinson was in my Kelly family too, a cousin of my dad Oscar Kelly. You mentioned that Ada first married a Kelly. That Kelly might have been a son of my grandfather Marcus Lafaette Kelly who was married several times and had 17 children between 1885 and 1915 around the Benton County area. My dad was third from the last and he was born in Garfield. Great... who are your people. Mine are the descendants of David and Agnes Robison (Carroll/Boone Co area), my g-g-grandparents. William and Almeda (Long) Robison, my g-grandparents who came to Benton Co, in the very early 1900's. Their children were Riley (who must have died as an infant), Effie (married Blevins), Joe, Walter (my grandfather), Tom, Ada (married Kelly, later Rodgers), Henry, and Maynard. What brought them to Benton County? I've never been able to get an answer from my family. I've hit a brick wall with David and Agnes. They had several children according to the census records, but I've haven't been able to track any of them. Agnes and one son appears in later Carroll Co census, the name was changed to Robertson in th census. Some of the children of my grandfather's brothers have changed their name to Robinson, adding the 'n' back to the name. The Robison Hollow Rd and Bennie Robison Road are named for family members. I've heard the Robinsons of the Robinson Road closer to the Benton/Washington Co line is also family, but I haven't filled the connection yet; my sister remembers when she was little being told they were "cousins". If these are linked to your relatives, please let me know. s -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, March 30, 2005 11:13 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [ARBENTON] Pedro We are Robison, Roberson, Robinson, Robertson, Robeson in Northwest Arkansas. ______________________________
Thank you for your inquiry on my Davis family. Actually, they come at me from several areas. My sister-in-law was a Barbara Davis, daughter of Jim Davis who was the cheif of police in Siloam in the 50's. Jim is no longer with us; Barbara is in Ft. Scott, KS; and I believe she still has one sister living (tho not in good health) in Myrtle Beach. One of my Davidson cousins in the Siloam alrea married a Davis, her name is Grace Davis. The main thrust of the Davis' come from my father's mother...Jennie J. (Davis) Ivey. Her parents were Matthew and Mahala Davis...TX and OK area. To the best of my knowledge, although my brother has told my sister-in-law all their married life that he married his cousin, I have not been able to connect any of the three families together. Sue, Pedro is west of Robinson, roughly south of Logan, and east of Siloam Springs. It lies roughly on present day Hwy 412. It still appears on my map, but I haven't visited it. Nearby Robinson is a beautiful little old place. You can see Pedro on a map by going here: http://geonames.usgs.gov/pls/gnis/web_query.gnis_web_query_form Fill in the query form: Fill in: Feature Name: Pedro State: Arkansas Feature Type: Populated Place County Name: Benton (you may have to submit this once, then reselect the county, and submit again) When it pulls up your results, and you are on the page for Pedro, go down the page and click on this: "Show Feature Location using maps produced from the U.S. Census Bureau's Tiger Map Server." Then you can zoom in on the map. Stacey __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Small Business - Try our new resources site! http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/resources/

Hello Everyone, I am trying to find a marriage record for my great grandfather William Michael Marsh and Nora?? around 1910, when his divorce from Casselia Bird was finalized. He was born in Benton Co. ca 1861 (from memory), to Benjamin & Permelia Marsh. They moved to Dade Co. Mo after the Civil War. Wm. M. Marsh was living in Tiff City, McDonald Co. Mo, and married Nora I believe the day the judge announced the marriage terminated. This is just one of those loose ends, but I have checked Dade, Lawrence, Jasper, Barry, McDonald Co. marriage records, as well as those in Ottawa and Delaware Co. OK (Tiff City is directly on the state line). When I was in the area in January, I did not have time to dip down into Benton Co., though. I am curious if marriages for Benton Co. have been abstracted as late as 1910, and if so some one might take a look and see if there is one for a William Michael Marsh and Nora ??? Thanks in advance, Janet (Baugh) Hunter
