Thanks for your comments. If you are certain that there was no other Center Corner School at an earlier time or in a different place, then you might want to email your info to the GNIS folks. They do accept corrections, additions, etc. to their database. BTW, the Springdale indicated is the name of the 5x5 map it is on, not the actual town it was in (though it would indicate the same genreal area). Additionally, it is in Lowell and not Springdale. Center Corner replaced Mt. Olive school. Mt. Olive, also in Colville Township burned. Stacey, Do you now if all of the "genweb" groups are undergoing a "facelift"? The reason I'm asking is that it seems there used to be a lot more cemetery information in "text" format on the web pages than is there now. i.e. Oakhill Cemetery in Siloam Springs is not an active link anymore. I used to be able to go to a .txt file. I have found this to be true with other cemeteries as well, i.e. Fairmont, etc. If that be the case, could they not be linked to the text file until better, more up to date formats are established. What format are they accepting information in now? I did Martin Cemetery on Fairmont Road about 2 or 3 years ago. Ofcourse it's out of date now, but more recent than the mid-1970's reading (the text file that used to be online). I still have a couple of discrepancies between what the 1970's reading and my reading show, but haven't had time to get back out there and check it. I'm usually on there for a couple of days at a time when I go. But I would be willing to submit this information if I knew what format to use. Currently it is in a WordPerfect (I hate Word!) format, but I would be willing to copy it into Excel or whatever is acceptable. I'm hoping to find information concerning the deaths of Jacob and Ellen Francis Ash. They are both buried in Union Chapel, (Ruddick Cemetery) in Benton County. I sent to Vital records and both applications were returned, with the explanation that they only have death records for Pulaski and Sebastian counties prior to 1914. That would explain Ellen, who died in 1904, but not Jacob who died in 1929. I guess I am looking for death records for Benton County prior to 1930. Also where obituaries may be found.
