In your post you ask if there is a Siloam Springs City Directory from around 1915. We do not have one at the Siloam Springs Museum that is very close to that, but I checked the ones we do have (1908 city directory, 1924 phone book, 1934 city directory) and did not find your grandmother or her siblings. The index to the 1920 census lists a Martin B. Smith at Decatur. Do you know how long your grandmother might have been in Siloam Springs or if she might have remarried while here? Is there more of an address at the bottom of your grandfather's funeral record? or does it just list the city? I ask because we have a map from 1914, so I could locate the address if it is in the town. Don Warden Director, Siloam Springs Museum

I need a volunteer to obtain a newspaper article from the Benton County Democrat please. The info I have dates the article March 7, 1907. The article is about Ezekial "Zeke" Proctor a Cherokee Indian. He died in Feb 1907. It is quite a long article......about 5 paragraphs long. Will gladly reimburse expenses! Thank you Linda
Not a problem. I've waited this long to find out anything waiting a while longer for something I know is there is ok. Just realized that I put wrong date of birth for Bessie Smith/Ware. She was born Feb. of 1887. Sue
My Grandmother is on the 1900 census for Bentonville, Ark. Bessie Smith, daughter born 1871 and Mortimer Smith listed as head of house. She married an L. L. Luke/Luck in 1903. He passed in 1906 By 1910 census she was listed as married to my Grandfather, Charles Calvin Budd and living in Springfield, Mo. in Greene County. In 1912 my father's only sister is listed as being born in Fort Smith, Ark. in Sebastian County. My Grandfather passed away in May of 1915 while living in Joplin, Mo. in Jasper County and working for the Eagle Picher Mining Co. On the bottom of his funeral record under payments is listed address and Siloam Springs, Ark. with a date of Dec. 1915 . My question is......Would there be a city directory for Siloam Springs? I would think that her only reason to return to Ark. in 1915 is to be with relatives. We have never located her sisters and do not know who they married. Mamie or Mannie Smith born 1889 may have married a B.P. Martin. Mary E. Smith born 1891...........have no clue as to who she may have married Fay Smith born in 1896.......have been told she married a Freeman. There was one brother born 1896 ....Martin Smith This has been a brick wall for so long. If anyone has any suggestions, they would deeply appreciated. Thanks, Sue in Houma, La.

His descendants include Reuben Bailey Daughety, Jewel Daughety, others, in Texas. I recently received a typed copy of some data that I havent gone through yet on the Reuben Daughety family.. Joseph Daughety of Choctaw Co AL son of Arnett Daughety (who was the 1st cousin of Reuben Daughety), had descendants to move to TX. I will check out my info and reply later. There were a number of Daughetys born to William Simpson Daughety (brother ogf Arnett) in west TN, a number moved to AR and then to TX, OK, other states. One branch lives in MI. There were Daughetys in TX, possibly related to my line, prior to the civil war. I am having difficulty in locating these because of the often deliberate corruption of Daughety to Daugherty. There is no true connection to the two surnames.

This is my family. George Setser and Martha Weaver were my gr-grandparents. Their daughter, Ruth, was my grandmother. She is not listed on the 1900 census as she married in 1899. Some small corrections in George & Martha's children's first names: Albert - was actually Elbert Fannie - was actually Frona (nickname Fronie) Jennie - was actually Tennessee (nickname Tennie) Those intrepid census takers do make phoenitic mistakes sometimes! 1870 census for John and Mary Weaver: Jane - was actually Missouri Jane (nickname Sis) Elizabeth - was actually Mary Elizabeth If anyone would like additional information on this family, please email me at either: [email protected] or [email protected] Thanks, Carol Littrell Brown In a message dated 7/25/2005 6:41:42 PM Pacific Standard Time, [email protected] writes: I find your Weavers in the 1870 Census, Georgia> Pickens.
