    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Brooks, Cowart, Harrington Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/5U.2ADI/3911 Message Board Post: I am trying to locate information on the family of Isom Brooks, the Cowarts, and the Harringtons with family buried in Georgia Flat Cemetery. Isom Brooks first wife, Martha M. Brooks (Feb. 24, 1833-June 20, 1875) is buried there and not in Georgia as stated in the Benton County History Book. J. C. COMANT (Aug. 24, 1865-Feb. 23, 1889), buried in Georgia Flat, is actually J.C. COWART, son of I. M. & H. C. COWART. He is the only Cowart with a stone and I would like to find out the other burial locations in the cemetery so they can be marked. I have their names, dates, and marriages. You are welcome to e-mail me direct at [email protected]

    1. RE: [ARBENTON] Sue in Houma, LA
    2. Carolyn Smith
    3. Mr. Warden, Thank you for your kind reply to my request for help. Bessie Mae Ware/Smith/Luke/Budd was not in Siloam Springs very long as by June of 1916 she was married in Iowa. She put her Children in the Joplin Children's Home shortly after the death of my Grandfather which was in May of 1915. No street address in Siloam Springs...just name of city. I am sure she was there a very short time. The obit. of her brother, Martin Luther Smith born 1896 in Bentonville, Ark, said he served in World War II but his age would have placed him in World War I. Mortimer Smith, father of Martin passed in 1904 and is buried in Bentonville Cemetery. Her mother, Jane Smith, turned up in 1910 census in Afton, Ok. If she had any of the children, census did not show them. Have not been able to trace any of the three sisters....only the brother and Bessie from 1900 on. I thought this would be a long shot but was in hopes that something might turn up. You have been so kind to help. Thank you. Sue in Houma, La. -----Original Message----- From: Siloam Springs Museum [mailto:ssmus[email protected]] Sent: Friday, July 29, 2005 2:14 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [ARBENTON] Sue in Houma, LA In your post you ask if there is a Siloam Springs City Directory from around 1915. We do not have one at the Siloam Springs Museum that is very close to that, but I checked the ones we do have (1908 city directory, 1924 phone book, 1934 city directory) and did not find your grandmother or her siblings. The index to the 1920 census lists a Martin B. Smith at Decatur. Do you know how long your grandmother might have been in Siloam Springs or if she might have remarried while here? Is there more of an address at the bottom of your grandfather's funeral record? or does it just list the city? I ask because we have a map from 1914, so I could locate the address if it is in the town.
