    3. David, I am/was the list-owner for the now defunct ARBenton list on RW. Feel free to create a sub-group of your Arkansas Genealogy list if you wish. But with only 6 or 8 posts to the RW list in the last 5 years, I didn't see a need. 1. [ARBENTON] This Rootsweb list will be shut down 2 March 2020
    2. W David Samuelsen
    3. This Rootsweb list will shut down 2 March 2020 per Ancestry's decision Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails.  Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state. Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb. I do not wish to leave you in dark when the old list shut down all of a sudden. I invite you to migrate over to the new list. 67 members already moved to the new list. There are features you can use, not available at Rootsweb. Photos, files allowed. County hashtags to filter you to specific counties. Expandable. Go to the site first, to join Scroll down to the blue button where it says "Join this Group". https://groups.io/g/Arkansas-Genealogy W David Samuelsen

    3. Shelley, I do know a person in our group with the married surname, Fields. I will forward your email along to her. Thank You. ________________________________ From: Shelley Cardiel <cardiels@comcast.net> Sent: Tuesday, November 19, 2019 9:55 PM To: ARBENTON@rootsweb.com <ARBENTON@rootsweb.com> Subject: [ARBENTON] FIELDS Family Photograph I've "rescued" an old photograph of Robert FIELDS and his Girlfriend which was taken at the Palmer Studio in Siloam Springs, AR. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1890's with Robert and his girlfriend likely in their teens at the time it was taken. In addition to his name someone has also written "Robert is a first cousin of Nat D. SMITH" on the back of the photograph. Based on limited research and thanks to family researchers I was able to gather the following information regarding Robert and his family: Robert Wylie FIELDS was b. 16 Jul 1876 in Maysville, AR to parents James Sanford FIELDS (1835-1896) and Charlotte Elizabeth STOVER (1842-1934). Robert was one of 19 children born to this couple including, John Frank; Forest Faragute; Otis; Wirt; Martha "Mattie" Francis; Moses Oscar; Pauline; Mary Christine; Brickwell or Bicknell; Erie; Robert Wyly; Florence; Nannie or Nancy Jane Leonard; Caroline "Carrie" Farthing; Laura Alice; Alice; Dan Flah or Elah; Robert Wylie; and Maude or Maud Elene F. FIELDS; all born between 1855 and 1880. Robert married Nannie FORREST or FOREST (b. 1879) and together they had a son Wiley Forest FIELDS (1891-1964). Robert died 15 Jan 1968 in Muskogee, OK. Nathaniel Dewitt SMITH was b. 1877 and died in 1970 and is buried in Fairview Cemetery in Owasso, OK. I am hoping to locate someone from the family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to the care of family.
