    3. Dorothy, since the question on the Martins was gatewayed from the usgenwed I don't know if they see our answer to the question that is gatewayed to the mailing list so I'm sending this on to her as well as back to the mailing list. I sent her a copy of the WW I resgistration for Robert Wilson Martin that I believe is the same as the Wilson R. Martin she mentioned. I checked the 1900 census and it would seem the parents of "Wilson" R. Martin are Thomas 1873 and Harriet 1867. They are living between Joseph and Richard Martin families. John and George Martin are neighbors also. Believe this George Martin born 1849 is the one that married Love Askew whose mother's maiden was Crymes and a sister to my gr gr grandmother. George's wife Love and her mother are buried in the Norfork Cemetery on the other side of the White River from the Martin Cemetery. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> > These are my Martin Cemetery Martins. 3. Vera, Thanks for the information. I already do have Lovey Askew and her husband in my database. I believe her husband was the son of Joseph C. Martin and that, Joseph C. Martin was a brother to my Thomas D. Martin who married Susan Hutcheson. Do you have any notes on this Martin family? I do not think I can actually prove it but I got information from the Messick book and then from our family member John Wiley who was descended from John Martin and George Ann Morton. I have not heard from John lately and I fear that something happened to him as he was in his 80s and not well when he wrote me. John Martiin was the son of Thomas D. and Susan Hutcheson Martin. George Ann Morton was the daughter (last child born ) of Thomas and Sarah Bech Morton. She was born in 1863 and the mother died very soon thereafter. Thomas Morton remarried to Nancy Wolf Culp and that is who John remembered as being George Ann's mother but she was not the birth mother. We finally did prove who the parents of Thomas Morton were and his father Samuel Morton evidently died and is buried in KY but his mother, Mary A. Morton, is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery there in Baxter Co. We still have one very big mystery as it is very evident that Thomas Morton was married to Sarah Jane Beck but we found a paper written by Margaret Swearingen Morton, wife of Thomas's son Samuel Adelphert Morton, stating that Mary E. Morton was a half sister to her husband. IF that is true then she was born while he was married to Sarah Jane Beck and she was raised by and listed in the household of his mother Mary A. Morton. We have never been able to reconsile the death date of the husband and believed to be father of Mary Ellen Morton as her birth date was always listed as 1856 and Samuel Moton died in 1851. Ofcourse it does not matter now as Mary Ellen grew up to marry James Sale and went on with life. But we have always wondered who her mother was, if she! belonged to Thomas. We always wondered who her father was if she belonged to Thomas' mother Mary A. Morton. ha If you have some notes on tese martins and will send it my way, I will add it to my data. I alway collect anything I can find for the allied family members as well as the direct descendants. We definitely have some questions about some of Thomas Dittmus Martin's siblings. We are working on those questions all of the time. Again, thanks for the data. db Dorothy, since the question on the Martins was gatewayed from the usgenwed I don't know if they see our answer to the question that is gatewayed to the mailing list so I'm sending this on to her as well as back to the mailing list. 3. The only Martin info in my data bank (family files) is the ones that married the Askew sisters. Lovey (Askew) md George Martin 3 May 1874. I was lucky enough to see that record before the burned book was pull from the shelf. Little pieces of chared paper fell out of it. Family information: Lovey's sister Mary Askew married a Thomas Martin. My record shows no proof of this. Mary was about 4 years younger than Lovey. Believe she died before 1900 and is said to have had a daughter Maud that died young. Don't know if mother and child both died the same time. If you need what I have on Lovey and George's family I'll try to get it to you. By the way this Thomas Martin was said to have been a brother to George and they married sisters. My marriage book shows a T. N. Martin 25 md. 25 Mar 1902 Lizzie Ware 18 Baxter County.
