Someone expressed an interest in Johnsons, Arkansas, I believe it was on this list. I note an 1855 map in the Izard County History on page 9. This map shows towns in north central Arkansas of that day. It shows Johnsons east across the White River between Yellville and Rapps Barren (Mountain Home). There is no road from Johnsons to Rapps Barren in that day, the road goes south east to North Fork. Although close to the White River it is not directly on the river. Looks like it might be in the vicinity of where Gassville is today. It is almost on a straight line between Yellville and Rapps Barren, looks like the road probably crossed the river at Denton Ferry and Johnsons is a little South East of that point. Don
