<< Vera, I learned today that Jacob Lee Ransom SPENCER was shot and killed by "Joe" FRIX in 1917. This was apparently a trespassing dispute because SPENCER was hauling wood at the time. It is believed FRIX left the country. Wonder if this is Joseph A. FRIX (b. abt. 1878) who married Mary HENLEY (b. abt. 1879) in Baxter County on 9 November 1899. Did his sister, Winnie FRIX, marry William Harvey RAYMOND (whose wife was Eliza Jane McNEILL)? Their father was also Joseph or Joe FRIX.
