Vera, my information shows you're correct about Calvin Vincin and Alex Edward DOSHIER being brothers -- sons of Peter E. DOSHIER (1822 - 1903) and Mary Ann "Polly" ELKINS (1829 - 1911). I'm showing these brothers as the last two children, with eleven born before them. A Civil War veteran, Peter E. and "Polly" DOSHIER are buried at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Marion County. Brother to Peter was John Henry DOSHIER (1826 - 1902), whose wife was Martha Ann MEARS (1828 - 1894). They are also buried at Pleasant Ridge. I have nine children for them (with spouses) but may be more. I'm sure Don OTT has more complete information since there are several OTT and DOSHIER marriages. Peggy << After looking at the 1880 Marion County census I would guess Calvin V. Doshier 12 and Ellec (Alex) Doshier 10 were brothers. The parents in that census were Peter and Pollie Doshier. It would seem possible that Alex would name his son after his brother, Calvin. ??? >>
