Thank you, Vera, for the RAYMOND information. I have quite a lot of RAYMOND information because of FINLEY (know of two) marriages into family. But, I didn't have Winnie FRIX information -- just her name. And, as you have posted her family census, she would have been daughter of James A. FRIX -- not Joe FRIX. With your help, I can go in the right direction. Now, to find more information on the incident between Joe FRIX and Jacob Lee Ransom "Rance" SPENCER, resulting in "Rance" SPENCER's death. Will have to confirm, but believe Rance SPENCER and second wife Sarah FRANKS lived in Marion County. I found Land Patent to "Rance SPENCER" signed by President William McKINLEY. For the "umpteen" thousands of times -- Thank you, Vera. Peggy
Vera, as I was reading through my RAYMOND material, I found where I got the marriage to Winnie FRIX. It is from the RAYMOND family history in the "Baxter County History" book. It identified her as daughter of Joe FRIX, "early settler at Salesville." Just wanted you to know I didn't pull that out of thin air. Peggy
