    3. << What is Mrs. H. J. Green name, she married Abe Peaks sometime around 1898 in Baxter Co. AR. Annis >> Annis, in case you do not have this census record. Series: T623 / Roll: 50 / Page: 81 1900 Census - Baxter County, Arkansas Union Township Supervisor's District No. 2 Enumeration District No.8 Sheet 3B Enumerated 5 June 1900 by Leeander M. LACKEY Line 79 55 / 56 PEAKS (Head) Abe, May 1880, age 20, M -1yr, IL / IL/ IL; Farmer, YYY, RF 53 (Wife) Jane H., May 1872, age 28, M -1yr, AR/ AR / AR; YYY (Dau) Maggie, March 1884, age 16, AR / IL / AR; YYY (Son) Rolen, May 1887, age 13, AR / IL / AR; YYY (Dau) Nettie M., April 1890, age 10, AR / IL / AR; //Y (Son) John R., May 1895, age 5, AR / IL / AR (Son) Charles W., May 1898, age 2, AR / IL / AR PEAK (Boarder) Louis, May 1882, age 18, single, IL / IL / IL; Day Laborer, NNY ***** Annis, it appears that Louis is his brother. There was license issued in Baxter County in December 1898 for Lewis PEAK marriage to Josie M. SKINNER, but "Not Returned." However, he and Josie are in 1910 census in Searcy County, with children: 1) Martin PEAK, age 7; 2) Son (illegible), age 5; 3) Zela, age 4; Jessie, age 2, and, Daniel Lewis, Jr., age ?/mos. It appears his name is Daniel Lewis (or Louis) PEAK -- and he named his first son, Martin. I did the 1910 census for Lewis and Josie first, and not thinking the record important, didn't write down page, township, etc. There is a TAYLOR and a GREEN on the Page 3A in 1900, Union Township, Baxter County, Arkansas. 3. On the census record for Jane H. (aka Hiley Jane), I neglected to include she had given birth to five children and five were living. Now, Annis, her age just can't be correct -- she would have only been 12 years of age when Maggie, b. March 1884, was born. As we've seen before, married to a much younger man, she didn't want to tell how old she really was. I went through 1880 census, trying to find a Hiley -- but now we see the time frame we thought correct is not. Peggy

    3. Annis, where was William Martin GREEN in 1880 census? Perhaps a search of neighboring households on LDS site may assist in locating her -- probably with her family. The 1900 census shows her born in Arkansas, as well as her parents. Let me know if you have 1880 census for him; and, if so, where. Peggy

    3. 1880 Baxter County, Union-Mill Twp there was a William Green 36 AR wife Alvira 26 AR dau Melvina 3 AR son Joseph 6/12 Jan Also in this house Lunen, Jarel 19 son MO after residence # 62 for some reason the others in that twp aren't numbered. The family list after # 62 is the family of William H. Lunen 47 MO, no wife with several children (4 to 16 in age) all born in MO. The William Green family lived next door to them Just wonder it the Jarel was his son > Annis, where was William Martin GREEN in 1880 census? 3. Annis, thought this may be of interest. 1880 CENSUS - New Market, Gallatin, Illinois Page 529A Able PEEK Self W(idowed) Male 70 GA Farmer VA VA Tho. A. PEEK Son S Male 3 IL GA KY Lewis PEEK Son S Male 1 IL GA KY ****** Able PEEK probably had a younger wife who died (childbirth ?). Then Able probably died before they came to Arkansas. It would be interesting to know why they came to Arkansas and who they came with or knew in Arkansas. Anyway, this adds a first name to "Abe" and confirms they were brothers. Peggy

    3. The marriage record I have does not show her as "Mrs" H. J. Green Abe Peak 21 m. 14 Dec 1897 H. J. Green 26 This doesn't seem to match the married 1 year in 1900 census. Then there was this marriage Mrs Hiley Peak 30 m. 13 Sep 1902 R. B. Smith 31 Hatch, Batch and Dispatch (index to the old newspapers) By Margie Garr shows that Hiley J. Peak can be found on page 16. I found it on page 6 instead. date of issue Sep 26, 1902 under license issued one of the couples is R. B. Smith and Hiley J. Peak. > << What is Mrs. H. J.
