The W. H. born about 1828 in Missouri, per 1880 census, was Warren Henry SWEARINGEN. His wife was Susannah Alean ROBERTSON, born about 1832 in Alabama, daughter of Benjamin "Helm" ROBERTSON and wife Mary Ann WEAVER. I had run across an 1860 census record in Carroll County, Arkansas, for family indexed as "SWEARINGUM" and "captured" it as probably could never find them again with this spelling. Head of household is Samuel "SWEARINGUM", 34, b. NC; wife is Prudence, age 32, b. TN. Children (all born in Arkansas: Elizabeth, 12; Victoria, 10; Emily P. K., 6; Caledonia, 3; and, Columbia, 1. Carroll County is located adjacent to Marion and Boone Counties -- their borders changed back and forth through the years. People sometimes never moved but the borders did.
