It was posted 5 May 2000 by Vera. Then, since he was born 18 May 1876 in Missouri, the 1880 census would help in locating his parents' household. Henry Gideon WOOD (18 May 1876, MO - 7 November 1961, Independence, MO; buried in Galatia Cemetery, Baxter County, Arkansas. [Inventory of this cemetery is online.] Apparently he first married Ollie DAVENPORT, then 24 October 1916 in Baxter County, Arkansas, married Wilma Gertrude PAYNE, daughter of William PAYNE and wife Sarah ARNOLD. Obituary for Wilma Gertrude PAYNE would also be available through the Baxter County Message Board, posted by Vera on 5 May 2000. It lists five (5) surviving daughters, including Joyce BEDLINGTON (of Guam), and four (4) sons. It mentions her daughter Marie BURLESON died Janaury 3, 1960 (only weeks before her mother). Marie was wife of Harley BURLESON [my party of interest as I am trying to determine if he had previous marriage to one of my relatives.] I am not descended from any of the above and have no known relationship.
