Custer-Herron cemetery Molder, Martha E. July 28, 1813 - Sep 6, 1909 The others in this cemetery are spelled Moulder I found an obit, interesting. Baxter Bulletin issue dated Oct 29, 1909 Died: Grandma Patsy Cockrum born Jul 23, 1814 Middle Tenn, came to Ark with her widowed mother in 1827, married William Stinnett 1829 at age 15, he died 5 years later, she remained a widow 5 years then married Wm. Molder who died 1865, married James Cockrum 1875. They were married 21 yrs. She died Sept 7, 1909, buried Herron Cemetery. I know Patsy can be short for Elizabeth. I found no Patsy Cockrum in the Herron Cemetery listing. But as you can see I found a Martha E. Molder with dates about right to fit this Patsy. WELL ?? Looks like this Moulder / Molder family was in Fulton County 1850 - Searcy County 1860. Rolling Green 18 is living with them in 1850 and it looks like William Moulder's mother Martha Moulder is living next door. If anyone needs these census, can do.
Patsy's obit just about drove me nuts until I figured out the dates are probably a few years off. Here's what I have and please don't hesitate to correct me ; Martha GREEN Birth: @ 1823 in middle Tennessee Death: Sept 7, 1909 per tombstone in Baxter Co Arkansas buried in Custer-Herron Cem Note: note;;3 different birthdates--estimate 1823 to be possible due to birth dates of children Birth date on tombstone is July 28 1813 quotes from obit that appeared in Baxter Bulletin Friday Oct 29, 1909; ( dates are thought to be mistakes-believe correct dates should be born 1823-married about 1838 at age 15- widowed at age 20-remar age 25- widowed again age 42 married again age 52- widowed again age 73 and died age 86) In Memory of Grandma Patsy Cockrum Born in middle Tennessee July 23, 1814, came to Arkansas with her widowed mother in 1827 at the age of 13, they made the first settlement that was made where Bakersfield ( Missouri) now stands.
