Hey guys? The way that I have deciphered this census record; regarding Margaret Stone and daughter; little Matilda? Nothing to back this up - but, I would say that with Margaret having the IL birthplace like that of Rebecca Stone's? I'd say that she is a sister to Rebecca with a daughter; born and carrying her mother's birth surname. 27 June 1860 Fulton Co., Arkansas census, Page 436, Big North Fork Township, Post Office Gordon Ferry: GREEN, Robert 27 M farmer TN #19 Rebecca 24 F IL Joseph 5 M AR Francis 2 M AR George 1/12 M AR STONE, Margaret 24 F domestic IL STONE, Matilda 3 F IL DENTON, Jonathan 19 M farm laborer UNK But then? Take a look at this 1850 census record for Rebecca Stone Green's birth family: 12 November 1850 Fulton Co., Arkansas census, Bennett's Bayou Township, Page 170: STONE, Solomon 60 farmer SC #4/4 Jane 60 SC (Gray by birth) Daniel 28 farmerIL Toliver 21 farmer IL Elizabeth 28 IL Willis 20 IL Lucy Jane 18 IL Rebecca 16 IL Robert 14 IL Elias 12 IL No Margaret is found in this census - but, maybe there is a Margaret living nearby this household in 1850; with an IL birthplace? Is the 1850 Fulton Co. census online? That IL birth state sure points to her being a Stone - but, she obviously wasn't, right?
Could Margaret Stone have been Rebecca's sister-in-law. She would have been the right age to have md one of the Stone boys in 1856-57 and Matilda is her daughter. No Margaret Stone in 1850 Fulton County. >>>>>>>>>>>> > The way that I have deciphered this census record; regarding Margaret > Stone and daughter; little Matilda? > > Nothing to back this up - but, I would say that with Margaret having the > IL birthplace like that of Rebecca Stone's?
