Take a look: 1850 Izard Co., Arkansas census, Union Township: DENTON, Eliza 32 KY #335 George W. 15 MO Catharine 10 AR Jonathan 8 AR 27 June 1860 Fulton Co., Arkansas census, Big North Fork Township, Gordon Ferry Post Office, Page 423: DENTON, George W. 24 M farm laborer --/400 MO #6 Charlotta 21 F AR DENTON, Elizabeth 20 F domestic AR So, I am assuing that her full name was Catherine Elizabeth Denton. In 1860, she is of marrying age and living with her brother; George and new wife; Lottie Green. But, what happened to her after 1860? There was a Herron family living next door to the George Denton family - thinking that she might have intermarried with the Herrons - but so far, Herron researchers know nothing of a Catherine Elizabeth that intermarried with their families. We know that the mother; Eliza Scott Denton either had remarried by 1860 or she was deceased. I tend to think that she was deceased. Good idea, though. Was not this Catherine Elizabeth the same person that was listed in 1860 Irons Point, Izard, County Census as Indian? Seems like I remember she was called Martha? She was in the Bevly Franklin Household, he had a passel of children and no wife?
