    1. [ARBAXTER] 1920 Mayes Co., Oklahoma? - Sinor, Reeves, Shehorn, Hutchings, Hughes, Gilliland

    3. Hi all Is there anyone (is it you, Vera?) that has access to the 1920 Oklahoma census? I am needing the census record for James Francis "Jim" Sinor and his third wife; Mary Angeline Hutchings (Shehorn, Gilliland, Reeves, Sinor). I am sure that they are in Boatman (between Pryor and Salina), Mayes Co., Oklahoma by this time in 1920. His published obituary has this to say: The Pryor Jeffersonian - Thursday, March 8, 1945 James Frances Sinor, age 74, died at his home in Salina, Feb. 22. He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Mary Angelina Sinor, two sons, Curtis Hughes of Mountain Home, Ark.; Frank Sinor of Wichita, Kan.; two daughters, Mrs. Lou Holt of Salina, and Minnie Paxton of Davenport; 50 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Bob Sanders I know that the family was in 1910 Baxter Co., with second wife; Mary C. Reeves. Mary's father; Frederick Reeves - it appears - was the third husband of Mary Angeline Hutchings. The two families were living next door to each other in 1910. 27 April 1910 Baxter Co., Arkansas census, Whiteville Township, Series T624, Roll 43, Page 110: SINOR, Jim head M W 49 m/2 AR GA TN #133/136 Mary C. wife F W 29 m/1 5/3 AR IL TN (Reeves by birth) Elmer E. son M W 8 S AR AR AR Lugilla dau F W 4 S AR AR AR Verrena dau F W 7/12 AR AR AR Brummitt son M W 10 S AR AR AR Frank son M W 18 S AR AR AR Jesse son M W 16 S AR AR AR 27 April 1910 Baxter Co., Arkansas census, Whiteville Township, Series T624, Roll 43, Page 110: REEVES, Frederick A. head M W 62 m/2 IL US US #132/135 Mary A. wife F W 46 m/2 7/6 IL US US Roy son M W 17 S AR IL US William J. son M W 14 S AR IL US Iris daughter F W 6 S AR IL US I do not know what happened to Frederick Reeves or his daughter; Mary C. Reeves Sinor - but by October of 1910 (census was in April) - Jim Sinor is married to Mary Angeline Hutchings Reeves. Scary thought, isn't it? Does anyone know what happened to the jilted parties - the Reeves gentleman and his married daughter? Bernie Moore-Knowles Phoenix, Arizona - Papa'aloa, Hawai'i "I have Indian blood in me. 3. Well, sorry guys - I couldn't find Jim Sinor in 1920 Arkansas, so felt sure that he had already moved on the Oklahoma for good. Even after your posting it, I can not find him on Heritage at all - as a matter of fact; I see no household #351 at all. Do I need help here or what? I knew that if I found these records, that it would tell me a great deal. With Jim Sinor having his young daughter; Lougilla in 1920 - this tells me that MAYBE her mother; Mary Reeves could have died between April and October of that 1920 year? Heck, maybe Mary's father; Frederick Reeves died, too? They both lose their spouses and decide to combine forces? The stepson in 1920, is Ulysses David "Les" Gilliland and as far as I can tell, he did not married until 1928 - when he married Lillie Ellen Duck. I show one daughter for this union - Mary Zelda Gilliland and then nothing further. The little girl -Lougilla Sinor. I would dearly love to know what happened to her. The children that Jim Sinor had with two different women; Harriet York and Mary Reeves, has been a bit hard to decipher. But, it looks as though Mary was the mother of Elmer (b1902), Lougilla (1906) and a Verrena (b1909). I am supposing that Verrena was deceased by 1920...........but, Elmer? Vera, I know that I ask you this all the time and can never find in my pile on this desk - but, what is the URL for the Baxter Co. cemeteries? I think I might need to see if these children died before 1920 and their mother in 1910? Or Frederick Reeves, too. Do you mind? Now, the 1930 census is a REAL keeper! This tells me that Will Sinor was hangin' with his brother; Jim in Mayes Co., in 1930. Did his third wife die? Or another divorce for Will? New information and now, new questions, right? LOL Thanks a bunch, both of you - I do appreciate this new information. Bernie Moore-Knowles Phoenix, Arizona - Papa'aloa, Hawai'i "I have Indian blood in me.
