    3. Bernie, was looking for someone in the 1910 census (HQ)-- and noticed I did not have correct take-off for William E. HEDRICK, children of your "Bethaney" SINOR, and those of Ellen {Unknown} CONLEY - QUALLS - HEDRICK. Take a look at this, please. We had name as CONNELLY and this census records shows CONLEY. Peggy ****** 1910 Census - Baxter County, Arkansas Barren Creek Township Enumerated 21 April 1910 by Robert R. ROBERTS Sheet 4A 56 / 59 HEDERICK (sp.) (Head) William E., age 35, m2x/0yr, AR / MO / IL; Farmer (Wife) Ella, age 36, m2x/0yr; 5/5, MO / MO / MO (Dau) Callie, age 15, AR / AR / AR (Son) William, Jr., age 13, AR / AR / AR [had William James](Dau) Virtie, age 10, AR / AR / AR (Dau) Lela, age 7, AR / AR / AR (Dau) Rachel, age 4, AR / AR / AR CONLEY (S-son) Stonewall, age 13, MO / MO / MO (S-son) Edward, age 9, MO / MO / MO (S-son) Floyd, age 7, AR / MO / MO (S-dau) Ethel, age 4, AR / MO / MO COIL = QUALLS (S-dau) Lola, age 1-2/12 (14 mos. ?), AR / MO / MO And you found infant daughter Pearl of "Bethaney" and William E. HEDRICK in another household in 1910. Stonewall = "Jack" CONLEY (prob. Stonewall Jackson CONLEY); and I didn't even have the other CONLEY stepchildren. Perhaps it was just me that "missed a step" on this combined family -- but wanted to run this by you. Although Ella / Ellen says she was only married twice, this appears to be her third marriage. By the way, your Enos SINOR and wife Lillie HEISKILL are on this same page. Perhaps Vera could locate a marriage for Ellen and QUALLS and / or CONLEY. She could even be from a Baxter County family in the same area. Looking forward to your review and input. Peggy

    3. Peggy My goodness............. Vera and I could not locate Hedrick in the 1910 census and now we know why..........Hederick. Need to just think of all possible spellings for the surname, don't we? This sure clears up alot. When all that I found was the 1920 census for Hedrick; I was thinking that all the children listed were Bethena Sinor's. That 1910 census reflects a marriage between Hedrick and Ellen in 1910, doesn't it? Something is not adding up with that. Lola born in 1909..............marriage to Hedrick in 1908? I went to that 1910 census and that last child named Lola? It does say Coil for her surname, doesn't it? Are you thinking that it is Qualls, right? Maybe this Ella was not married to the father of Lola? And she indeed as had only two marriages by 1910? Or she was married to a Conley, then a Qualls and finally Hedrick? You asked about little Pearl? Bethena's brother; Randolph D. Sinor (wonder what the "D." stands for?) and his wife Laurie Cunningham raised Pearl - or at least she is found in 1910 and 1920 with them. 1910 Baxter Co., Arkansas census, Barren Creek Township, Page 6-B: SINOR, Randolph D. head M W 49 AR GA TN md/1 22 yrs farmer #111/111 Laura F W 37 md /1 22 yrs 5/5 AR TN US Ella daughter F W 13 single AR AR AR Truman son M W 11 single AR AR AR HEDRICK, Pearl boarder F W 3 single AR AR AR Note to this 1910 census: Randolph's father born in Georgia? I do know that some of the Sinors migrated into Whitfield Co., Georgia and that it does border Bradley Co., Tennessee. Or just boundary changes? 15 January 1920 Baxter Co., Arkansas census, Buford Township: SINOR, Randolph head own farm w m 53 YY AR TN TN #100/103 Laura wife f w 47 AR TN MO Truman son m w AR AR AR HEDRICK, Pearl boarder f w 12 YN AR AR AR Pearl married a Clyde Howard or so her obituary told me. Ever run across that surname in Baxter Co., Peggy? PEARL VENETTA HOWARD, 92, of Gassville Funeral arrangements for 92 year old Pearl Howard of Gassville 2 p. m. Saturday at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J. R. Cousins officiating. Mrs. Howard died February 2, 2000 at Baxter Regional Medical Center. She was born March 25, 1907 in Buford to William Headrick, Sr. and Bethena Sinor Headrick. She married Clyde Howard and was a homemaker. She was an avid quilter and gardener and member of Bee Ridge Baptist Church in Sarasota, Florida. Mrs. Howard is survived by two sons, Claude Otis Howard and wife Mildred of Sarasota, Fla., and Kenneth Eugene Howard of Gassville; nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceeded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters, one brother and several sisters. Visitation will be 10 a. m. until service time on Saturday at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home. Burial will be in Heiskill Cemetery in Baxter County. Pallbearers will be Paul Dotson, Morgan Doton, Donald Wayne Dotson, Jeff Howard, Rodger Howard and Morgan Dotson, Jr. Memorials may be made to Baxter Regional Medical Center Development Fund. Arrangements are by Kirby-Boaz Funeral Directors, Kirby-Boaz Funeral Directors and the United States Forestry Service. Ellen Qualls? I know that Vera had sent me these marriage records: Baxter Co., Arkansas marriage record: W. H. Hedrick 21 & Luthener Sinor 18 was 7 Oct 1893 Will Hedrick 35 m. Ellen Quoils 36 on 2 Dec 1908 (probably Qualls) Note per Vera: Newspaper list his name as Hendrick and her's Quiols So, does that make sense? Not! If Ellen married Hedrick in 1908 and then had a daughter named Lola Qualls in 1909? Why would she be enumerated as a Qualls in that 1910 census? Any thoughts? (I know that there were Qualls in Izard Co. - maybe we should look there?) I can tell you though, that I sure appreciate your finding that 1910 census for Hedrick - but, am puzzled by the middle initial.............was it "E." or "H."? It sure looks like Bethena Sinor must have died from complications from childbirth. I had thought otherwise when I found that both her parents died in 1907, also. Have not found a month for Jim Sinor and Martha Smothers' death yet - was hoping that his application for veteran benefits would tell me - but, that came up empty.
