I debated whether to send you the obits I have on this family. All of them are hand copied by me from old newspapers and the Hatch Match series of books. The marriage dates from the marriage books --death dates from cem book--etc etc. I have been in contact with a few descendants--one from the Parks family--one from the Oels family--a Starkey family member- a Jackson family member and one from a Wilson member but have not been in touch with him for quite a while. I collected a bunch of info from these people. I've wondered if the Jan Wilson was related to the Hunter Wilson family but I get too far ahead of myself sometimes. Ann, a distant cousin of mine, has told me that her family line connects to Shadrack Henderson but I haven't pursued how that comes out--yet. I might have some surprises in store for me when I do. Her lines are Campbell-Denton-Mashburn-Queary-Ingram and some more I can't think of. Ann and I share a g-g- grandfather--Andrew Jackson Campbell.

One was Pleasant Henderson, and he had a son named William, and the other was Dr. R. M. Henderson, and he had a son named William also. I have never been able to connect my Shadrack to either of these families. Shadrack appears in the 1860 Census of LaClede Co., MO with his wife Mouncy and his son Benjamin. The next thing I find on him is that he married Mahala Jane Whittenburg. I do not know what happened to Mouncy and Benjamin, and have been unable to find their graves, nor have I been able to find Shadrack and Mouncy's marriage record. I do not know who Mouncy was. It should have been Isa Kasner. My typo. Sorry. I do not think her name to have been Isabelle. Mary, you think Shadrack looks Indian, others say Mahala Jane looks Indian for sure. My Dave thinks neither one of them look indian at all! That's why we need proof. To me, they look like my great grandparents. I have the article in Senior Focus. Now we have with this article Cherokee Indian, another member of the family on an equal plane saying "No, they were Chocktaw." Then other family members on an equal level saying "Western Cherokee" whatever that is. I have never found any of them on any Indian Rolls that I have searched. To me, they are great Grandpa and Grandma, and insofar as I know, they were hard working, decent, respectable people, and that's what is important to me. Mahala Jane's family was predominantly German for sure. Henry Parks married Ruby Greathouse. Ina Parks married Clyde Greathouse, so Inas Greathouse is a sister to Henry and the daughter of William Sigel and Mouncy Catherine Henderson Parks. About the Webber who killed the Greathouse. This was a man I called Bud Webber, who was convicted of shooting Noah Greathouse. I think there was some mitigating circumstances, because Bud Webber only spent a year or two, maybe even less, in prison. This is the only bad story I ever heard on Bud Webber. He first married ? Gibson, then she passed away, and he married Mary Carter, and they had several children. Aunt Fannie Parks always called him "Uncle Bud", and I think he was a real uncle to her. I knew him to be a kind man. He lived on Highway 201 on the hill north of the lake. By the way Mary, Bud Webber is the grandfather of your Wanda Lee Dover Kirkland. I have never been able to connect the three different Parks families of Baxter Co. My Parks family has intermarriages with the other two families. Nina

I think ( if I'm thinking right) that a Webber shot and killed a Greathouse and they both belong in this Amanda Webber line. Think it was a son-n-law--father-n-law thing. I know exactly what you mean about the nicknames--my Dad was the best at doing that. He had a sister and from the time I was a little girl- he referred to her as Babe. To my brothers and I -- she was Aunt Babe. I was fully grown and gone from home when Momma told me Claudia was ill. Honestly I had to ask who that was ! Got your stuff in the mail and its on the way-let me know when it gets there. Do you have anything about the Coleman or Jackson family --any clues to work with ?
