This lady could not make up her mind as to what her name was. 1880 AR, Independence wife of Thomas is Paulina 21 1900 AR, Baxter, Mountain Home, Mary E. 41, Here she is listed as a widow and the death date we have on Thomas is 4 Jun 1925? 1910 AR, Baxter, Barren, Elzira P. 51, she still thinks she is a widow. 1920 AR, Baxter, Whiteville Twp., Perlina 63, still a widow. 1930 AR, Baxter, Cotter, Elzira P. living with daughter Ola Sinor. In the 1920 Census daughters Leona Burks and Oley Jones (She is listed as Jones) are at home with mother. Oley has a Jones son (Solow.) 5/12 but no husband. In the 1930 Census Ola Sinor is head of household, her mother lives with her, Mr. Sinor is not listed. she has the two daughters by William Samuel Sinor and she still has the Sollen T. Jones, son who is now 10 years old. Guess she either married a Jones or had a relationship that resulted in a child that she wanted to give the Jones name to. Don

Bernie Been looking at the Gist in my Jones family, found a Thomas R. Gist in 1920 living with John A. Gist in Sharp County, Scott twp. He is listed has a cousin to John A. John A. is a son to Lucy Ann Jones, a sister to my 4g-grandfather, Nathaniel P. Jone. Lucy first married William Gist, he died about 1864. She then married a James Carter. Is this the same Thomas R. Bernie, The first list I've seen for Custer-Herron cemetery did not show any dates for Claire or James W. I believe James was living in Izard County with a family listed as a hire hand. 1910 Bayou Twp Baxter County Gist James W. 31 md 1 time 7 years Eliar 23? md 1 time 7 years 0-0 children the E could have been a C with a little loop on top. 1920 didn't J. W. Gist 1930 Bayou Twp Baxter County Gist James W. 51 md 1st time age 24 Ela O. 42 md 1st time age 15 William L. 9 son

Bernie, bet this is the James W. Gist below Ark Death Record Index Gist, J. W. d. 12-22-1940 Baxter County Did he marry Claire ? or the Denney first? Some of these Gist lived in the north eastern part of Baxter County not far from the Fulton County line.
