I have an ancestor by the name of Paul Rose that served in the service of the CSA in both the 45th AR. militia, Co.A and the 27th AR Inf.Co.F. He was part of the 45th when they were rounding up the suspected members of the "Peace Society" in NW Arkansas(mostly Searcy county) in November and December of 1861. When that was done he was discharged and subsequently enlisted in the 27th. AR Infantry He died from disease while in service at Pocohantus AR. on 10/8/62 His parents(Silas and Racheal Rose) are listed in Big Flat township in the 1860 and the 1870 census so I am trying to find out if maybe he was buried in the cemetary there or near there. I am a decendant of his through my grandmother who was a Hilliard. I want to find his grave and make sure it is taken care of but have not had any luck finding his final resting place yet. If you can help me find him I will be very grateful and if the fee is reasonable can try to pay for the service Richard Uhlig CSA Judgment Enforcement Shallowater, Texas 79363 (806) 832-0460

Take Hwy 5 north, almost to Calico (about 15-17 miles or so). There will be a church, and a road called Culp on your left. It's real "washboardy". I think the county number for it is 53. Take this road out about 7 miles. You'll pass the Culp settlement, and Bethel Church, pass Table Rock Cemetery road on your left, come down into another small settlement, keep an eye out to the left, that's where it will be. You could miss the little Harris Cemetery sign on the hill, just watch for it. If you cross a low water bridge, you've gone too far! The legals are T17N, R12W, section 4, NW SE SE. This is the listing I have for that cemetery, but people put up new markers on old graves all the time, maybe you'll have some luck! Vera, Would you please try to help me get straight some information on Pernetta Hutcheson and her two husbands. She was born about 1822 and married A. B. Hawkins and they had a son Benjamin F. Hawkins born in 1844 and a daughter Sarah G. Hawkins born in 1849. Is that correct, so far? Then she married Fielding or Fieldon Herron and it would have to be after 1849 so about 1850. So the Herron children born before 1850 were probably by a first Herron wife and I had a Dicy in 1838 and Lucindy Elizabeth in 1841 in my Hutcheson family notes as belonging in the Fielding Herron household. Then I have a James Porter - 1854, Thomas - 1864, and William 1866 that should belong to Pernetta and Fielding. Then I found a Fielding Washington Herron married to an Elizabeth Baker Lankford with several children but the Dicy and Lucindy were not in the list. This Fielding Washington Herron was the son of William Herron and brother to Emanual and William but the birth date was the same as for my other Fielding Heron as of 1806 in TN. Was there a Fielding Herron and a Fielding Washington Herron as different people in the Baxter County area or were they the same person? If you can help, I would greatly appreciate it.
