Peggy My goodness............. Vera and I could not locate Hedrick in the 1910 census and now we know why..........Hederick. Need to just think of all possible spellings for the surname, don't we? This sure clears up alot. When all that I found was the 1920 census for Hedrick; I was thinking that all the children listed were Bethena Sinor's. That 1910 census reflects a marriage between Hedrick and Ellen in 1910, doesn't it? Something is not adding up with that. Lola born in 1909..............marriage to Hedrick in 1908? I went to that 1910 census and that last child named Lola? It does say Coil for her surname, doesn't it? Are you thinking that it is Qualls, right? Maybe this Ella was not married to the father of Lola? And she indeed as had only two marriages by 1910? Or she was married to a Conley, then a Qualls and finally Hedrick? You asked about little Pearl? Bethena's brother; Randolph D. Sinor (wonder what the "D." stands for?) and his wife Laurie Cunningham raised Pearl - or at least she is found in 1910 and 1920 with them. 1910 Baxter Co., Arkansas census, Barren Creek Township, Page 6-B: SINOR, Randolph D. head M W 49 AR GA TN md/1 22 yrs farmer #111/111 Laura F W 37 md /1 22 yrs 5/5 AR TN US Ella daughter F W 13 single AR AR AR Truman son M W 11 single AR AR AR HEDRICK, Pearl boarder F W 3 single AR AR AR Note to this 1910 census: Randolph's father born in Georgia? I know that Vera had sent me these marriage records: Baxter Co., Arkansas marriage record: W. H. Hedrick 21 & Luthener Sinor 18 was 7 Oct 1893 Will Hedrick 35 m. Ellen Quoils 36 on 2 Dec 1908 (probably Qualls) Note per Vera: Newspaper list his name as Hendrick and her's Quiols So, does that make sense? Not! If Ellen married Hedrick in 1908 and then had a daughter named Lola Qualls in 1909? Why would she be enumerated as a Qualls in that 1910 census? Any thoughts? (I know that there were Qualls in Izard Co. - maybe we should look there?) I can tell you though, that I sure appreciate your finding that 1910 census for Hedrick - but, am puzzled by the middle initial.............was it "E." or "H."? It sure looks like Bethena Sinor must have died from complications from childbirth. I had thought otherwise when I found that both her parents died in 1907, also. Have not found a month for Jim Sinor and Martha Smothers' death yet - was hoping that his application for veteran benefits would tell me - but, that came up empty.
