    1. [ARBAXTER] Arkansas Census 1819-70.
    2. Pgraves
    3. I came across this information on line quite some time ago. It is from the Arkansas Census 1819-1870 as stated below. Most of this information is confirmed by an Arkansas Land Record of a Stokely Long, issued also in 1839 of which I have a copy from the BLM. I have looked forever and cannot find the Arkansas Census 1819-70. Does anyone know where I might find this or is there anyone that may have access to this tax list; perhaps from a local library there? I would really appreciate a lookup - this is the next step in my brick wall. Name: STOKELY LONG, AR, Izard County, No Township Listed, 1839 Tax list, Page 006, Database: AR 1830-1839 Tax Lists Index Source Information: Jackson, Ronald V., Accelerated Indexing Systems, comp. 1. Re: [ARBAXTER] Mixed Greens
    2. You're right they are Mixed Greens and then you can throw the Moulders in this too John Martin Green was married several times and I was never such if Ann was Lucy Jane Stone. John Martin brother, Rolen Green married Lucy Jane Stone sister, Rebecca Stone. I don't know Clarinda maiden name, the lady John Martin is married to in 1880 census, could she be a Billingsley? Annis

If they were living in a house owned by Simpson he may have and maybe he didn't really know how all these people were kin to each other. Does the R $5 mo in the HOME DATA column mean that's how much rent they paid with O meaning Simpson owned?? These are all listed as head of house. In the 1930 census 132-144 Simpson, Hicks T head (O $1,000) ----------lived alone >> This gentleman was Thomas Hicks SIMPSON (1884 - 1954), buried in Mountain Home Cemetery. Don't have marriage or spouse information -- may have never married. His parents: Dr. (Physician & Surgeon) Jeremiah B. "Jerry" SIMPSON (1859, Wayne County, IL - 1899, Baxter County, AR) and Lugilla HICKS (1860, TN - 1902, Baxter County, AR); both buried in Mountain Home Cemetery. FYI only -- to help with sorting these people. Peggy

    3. > Vera, would this be "Mixed Greens" -- Annis would probably say yes. Peggy, I've been known to eat them.. Just seems Bernie or Delphe had a Mart Green that married a Billingsley and he was married a few times before he married her. That's all I can remember about it. I did some research on this a year or so ago. Vera

    3. Can someone tell me if this is the same Martin Green that was married several times and one of those marriages was to a Billingsley? OR have I got my Greens mixed up ? 3. When I looked at the census on film, you listed below It look like Rebecca's surname might have been an attempt at Hulsey and if I had to guess I would say her son's name was Augustine The 1880 printed census by Margie Garr shows Alley, Rebecca 63 mother Hutrey, Armstead 34 farmer (note sp) ------- Catherine 34 (or 24) ------- Eliza 9 ------- Belle 1 I think that is Eliza 9 son and Belle is listed as daughter. There is an Ally family listed at # 118 but I still think that last name for Rebecca started with an H. My 2 cents again. Vera > In 1880 Census Baxter County, AR Mtn Home twp > Household 116 > ? 3. Vera, this helped so much! Mettie COVINGTON was daughter of Cuba R. WEAST (b. 1859) and John Powell COVINGTON (1853 - 1943) -- in 1880 census, Barren Creek Township, Baxter County, Arkansas. I had Mettie's name but no dates nor spouse. Peggy

    2. Peggy Truesdell
    3. Annis, you refer to Ann (wife of John Martin "Mart" GREEN) -- and thought you maybe haven't identified her. I show her as Lucy Jane "Ann" STONE, b. 1831 in Illinois. In 1860 census, she is shown as "Lucy." Some of my information came from Baxter County sources (the "History" or from pedigrees, Vol. I). I'll have to check. Peggy

    2. If Belle married before 1900 and is divorced who was she married too and where is her child? So this would make Catherine Husley the dau of John Martin Green married to a Ann ? in 1850 census. Catherine is 1 year of age in 1850. Annis

    3. Peggy Yes, I do show that this Chastain was married to Nancy Ann Taylor (b1856) in 1898. Seems she was first married to a Stone? I tell you, Annis has her hands full with these families. For the life of me, I have a hard time figuring them all out. My Dentons intermarried in the clan. Any idea who Nancy Ann's Stone husband was? Catherine is 1 year of age in 1850. On the divorce I was going by the 1930 census where Belle is listed as Belle Ivens this is where it shows her as divorced. Maybe she was divorced from Ivens.
