It would seem these Moulders are buried in the Custer-Herron Cemetery in unmarked graves. ???? There are Greens also Smiths in this cemetery. http://www.rootsweb.com/~arcemete/baxter/custer.htm Keep in mind this cemetery is several small cemeteries put together when the Norfork Dam was built in the early 1940s. >From index of the Baxter Bulletin newspaper called "Hatch, Batch and Dispatch" by Margie Garr date of issue is June 16, 1939 Mrs Mary Elizabeth Moulder 82 died June 7th at home near Henderson. So, I think this adopted son enumeration is kind of odd. But, maybe there was such extreme poverty; that the older children were farmed out? This Fortune Teller Smith, Annis? Could be one of mine. Let's see what Smiths were living around Polly Moulder in 1920, maybe that would help? I kind of thought that his Polly might be the daughter of William Moulder and Patsy Green. These families or yours and Mary Green's are tough to research, you know it? Initially, my interest was because of my Dentons intermarrying with them - but, now? Might find my Smiths lurking in there, too. Bernie Moore-Knowles Phoenix, Arizona - Papa'aloa, Hawai'i "I have Indian blood in me. Peggy? Well, there you have it! Newton. Cora Newton. Now, I'll see if I can find something on her Edmond Smothers, the attorney - his descendants may not be aware of it, but should know that he was named for his uncle; Edmond D. Smothers who died in the Civil War on July 4, 1861. I have never researched what battle was raging on that date - or he may have perished as a result of disease - but, none the less, he died in the War. I would love to hear from descendants of this line. Only one researcher has ever contacted me from this branch of the Smothers family and as I recall, they were actually from the Taylor side. Edmond, the attorney - his mother was a Roach by birth and her first marriage was to a William C. Taylor (War casualty himself) and secondly to Elijah McEwing Cervin Smothers (b1834) - brother to Edmond, the War casualty and my gggrandmother; Martha Matilda Smothers Sinor.
