James Odus Franks and wife, Martha are buried in Maxwell Cemetery, at Oil Center, Pontotoc Co, OK. Not in Oil Cemetery, as you show. Oil Center is just a community now, on Hwy 3W, North West of Ada, OK. Maxwell Cemetery is North of Oil Center. My g-gft was born Joseph Stanford Dodson,bornaug.24,1866 in Mo.His parents are William and Mary Ann Kingcade Dodson.He was b. in Gasconade Co.Mo in 1830;MA was born in Green Co Illinois,1857.William died at Fort Dodge ,Ks in the retirement home there,I believe she died there too but no records.I do have copies of Williams civil war records.There Children were Marinda,John Wesley,(both died young)Thomas,Joseph,George,Matilda, and Enoch Sherman,Wiliam R. I have not traced Joes brothers or sister. Williams parents are listed on his death certificate as Stanford and Matilda Shookley Dodson, Stanford born in Tn. I have found them in Mo until the Civil War and then lost them. My records have William all over Mo, and Ks after the war. He was wounded in the hip and couldnt farm anymore. I have the records where he kept reapplying for a pension.I do know that Sherman lived in Arkansas City,Ks. He also applied for a pension when he got older. I collected all Dodson records at first because I did not have any information on Joe.There is several Dodsons listed from Tn. I have not proved it but I believe Stanford was born in Va or Tn,His mothers maiden name was Stanford. I havent had time to work on that line.Hope this helps. Let me know if I can help.Linda Ramsey

The Lola Elkins i noticed was dau of Tibb,and Florence Hunt Bales. My Uncle Jack Gillihan (bro to dad) married Minnie Bales a sister to Tibb.
