Whiteville Cemetery is on line I don't know of any others that are in that area. Might try Gassville and Walnut Hill in Cotter. What names are you looking for. I have some of Margie Garr's books on the Cotter newspaper and Yellville, Marion County. That might cover that area, if the Mt Home paper didn't. On the Baxter County GenWeb site it lists: Mountain Home Cemetery - Mountain Home, Baxter County, Arkansas This is an old cemetery and some of the stones very hard to read. In a few cases I used the information from the book "Of Grave Importance" by The Baxter County Historical Society - 1994. In some cases I've put information from an obituary, other wise the information is from the tombstones. In an undertaking like this there seems to always be mistakes. Does anyone have any information on this Andrew J. Reeves who married the Amanda Mayfield? I do NOT know if it is the same Andrew Jackson Reeves, b. MO in 1846 who in 1876 married Elizabeth Francis Wolf, daughter of Jesse H. Wolf. I just thought someone might be able to give me a clue as to who that couple was and then I could eliminate or establish the Andrew J. Reeves as the one I am seeking. I am seeking an Andrew Jackson Reeves b. in 1846 in MO and married to the Elizabeth Francis Wolf and are found in Red River, Searcy County for the 1880 census. The census does not show them with any children but I know that they adopted a son that was named John Wesley Reeves. This Andrew Jackson Reeves went by the name of John Reeves and until a newly discovered family member was able to provide that information he had been lost because I had only looked for a John Reeves and on the census he was listed as Andrew - so he was using his birth name and not the nickname. I do not know what happened to either Andrew Jackson or his wife. I do not know when they died or where they are buried. The young son went to Arizona and CA it seems. His descendant who just this week contacted me lives in CA. On the census A.J. Reeves's father is shown to be born in TN and his mother in MO. I do not know the names of the parents or when this man came to this area. Elizabeth Francis Wolf was born and raised around Norfork, Mountain Home or Marion County area. I got their marriage date from the family bible so I do not have any document other than that about them. It only listed the date and not the place of the marriage. The one bible sheet and the one census sheet are the extent of my documentation. If A.J. Reeves was the same person that first married the Amanda Mayfield maybe the Mayfield family could tell me something about him. Any help or clue would be appreciated.
