    3. Today marks the last day Rootsweb mailing lists working. Tomorrow, the Rootsweb mailing lists are no more. All messages that had been posted here are saved and archived, will continue to be accessed and read. Subscription, no more Postings, no more Replies, no more BUT ! Successor lists are here, but at another place The successor list for this list is: https://groups.io/g/Arkansas-Genealogy sorry, no county list for this one, yet but the list owner may create "subgroup" for the county alone, within this state list. Go to the site and "join this group". This is easy step. David Samuelsen, subscriber

    3. Nathan,   Every county has a mail list that you can subscribe to and they went off line due to privacy and have come back on line in the last month or so.  Go to Rootsweb.com and see how to subscribe they will look something like: ARBaxter@rootsweb.com    I did ask around and I think that volume you are missing was the one about the Store there at the Wolf house - I think it just listed the accounts .  I just can't remember the contents but maybe that is correct.db   On Tuesday, December 4, 2018, 4:26:49 PM CST, Nathan Marks <nathanvaughanmarks@gmail.com> wrote: Hi Dorothy, So nice to hear from you. I contacted Vincent Anderson at the Baxter County Library and I'll see what he says about any available materials from the Wolf House committee. I appreciate the lead. Which county mail lists are you referring to? I'm not familiar with them but I would be interested in signing up for the Baxter, Marion, and Stone ones, and other counties too if there are any. My Arkansas roots run deep and all over the Ozarks region on both my mother's and father's sides of the family. I'm sorry about your Y DNA search not coming up with answers for you yet. The autosomal DNA I have a good handle on, but the Y DNA stuff is much more complex. I need to do some work on it for my Cowan family but have dragged my feet. I agree that George and Elizabeth Rutter Wolf don't fit as the parents. Hopefully we'll get answers one day! Glad someone like you is working on it.  I appreciate your help, Dorothy! Nathan On Sun, Dec 2, 2018 at 12:32 PM Dorothy Boynton <dbton@yahoo.com> wrote: Hello, Nathan, yes I remember corresponding with you.  The only place I would know to to go for help is the Mountain Home Public Library.  They have lots of the latter publications for sale  that were not exactly the same as what you are wanting to get but done by the cemetery association and contained Wolf Family articles.  All of my stuff is now in storage and I cannot even tell you what that 3rd volume contained and I am sorry for that.  I understand the county mail lists  have come back online and I bet if you contacted Baxter County or Marion of Stone or even Fulton list someone would have  that copy that you want and might let you have it.  I am still working on the family history but we have NOT gotten any Y-DNA match to be able to establish parents for the older Jacob Wolf b. 1740.  Hundreds of people circulate parents for him but DNA has proven the George Michael and Elizabeth Ruttter Wolfe were not the parents but people just keep putting that out there.  I even know when and how that got started and I contacted the person and he said well they sorta fit and had a son Jacob and that is true but land sales and death records prove that person died several years before our person and he never came to the territory of AR anyway. People just believe what they want to and don't bother to do research or even bother to look at dates and places.  I tried to scan into my computer some publications for my own preservation but I do not have what you need.   db   On Sunday, December 2, 2018, 7:15:10 AM CST, Nathan Marks <nathanvaughanmarks@gmail.com> wrote: Hi Dorothy, This is Nathan Marks. We corresponded several years ago about the Wolf family and Wolf house, and you kindly helped me a ton with collecting information and resources. I'm wondering if you can help me again. I recently bought off Ebay three volumes of the "Liberty!" book series that came out several years ago about the Wolf family. The lot contained Volumes 1, 3, and 4. I was wondering if there were any copies of Volume 2 still available, and if so, how I might go about purchasing one? I also wondered if there were any additional volumes after Volume 4, and if so, if any of those would be available as well? I'd be grateful for any information you can supply. Thanks so much for your time and help. I hope you're doing well. Nathan Marks | | Virus-free. www.avast.com |

Hivelys, Trimbles, Wolf, and Yearry, and related family.  Over the years I have received a lot of help and made a lot of friends on the list.  I still have a lot of brick walls though.  I have missed the list and a lot of it has been my fault as I have stretched myself thin.  I'm back and glad to know Junebug is okay.  I still think of her as I have my morning coffee three hours later than she did. 2. Dorothy Boynton via
    3. Would like contact with descendants of E Mildred Wolf b. about 1800 m. (Aaron Johnson ?)  Livingston and had daughter Maldred Livingston who married John Langston and had the three daughters Phoebe and Margaret and Mary Eldorcas. Want to see if have done or if willing to do a DNA test to compare results with the DNA test already obtained for descendants of Michael (b. 1764) and Mary Magdalena Catherine Hedrick Wolf in order to verify if the E Mildred Wolf is also of the same Wolf family.  Surnames associated that I know of are: Whitfield and Woodcock and Hivley and Jones.  Descendants of Michael Wolf have autosomal tests at 23andme and FTDNA and Ancestry.com and have the Y-DNA test at FTDNA so should be easy to get comparison of chromosome for verification. Most of my branch - Jesse H Wolf family - results have also been uploaded to Gedmatch to make it easier to compare results regardless of what testing company was used.  Other branches of Major Jacob Wolf's family have tested including:  James M Wolf, Martin Jefferson Wolf,  Andrew Jackson Wolf, and Tabitha Wolf Russell.  Dorothy Boyntondbton@yahoo.com
