I will be coming to Ashley County in May and would like to know who I could contact in advance to locate some graves. Since my time is limited I would like to do as much prep work as possible. I have maps to all of them but I need a little more. I have 11 cemeteries to visit, but I would like to locate the area in each cemetery before I arrive. I love cemeteries but the rest of my family does not want to spend the night in one. Since the local Genealogical Society published the tombstone book, does someone at the local society have maps and locations of the tombstones? Or Do I need to contact each cemetery directly. Also, what libraries have the largest collection? One last question, my grandfather's sister was married to Eugene A. Hill and I noticed there is a street in Hamburg by the name of Eugene Hill. Does anyone have any information on the naming of the street? The street in question is near the Hamburg Cemetery. Thanks much.
