Hello, I am new to the list and am searching for family members who have Ashley Co. connections. William E. Sawyer entered into service in the Civil War at Berlin AR. He was wounded and returned there. His family was originally from VA and then Mississippi Co.AR ( Osceola and Blytheville) . Don't know how or why he was in Berlin. His wife was Amanda and one of the children was Elijah. His brother was Noah. Thank you for any information you are willing to share.
