Hello: I am searching for info on George Newton Honeycutt and Nancy F. Gilliam, who mar. May 18, 1861, Ashley Co., AR. Nancy is my gr-gr-grandmother. I know that George was in the CW; did he die before 1870 and thereabout? Supposedly Nancy remarried John Thomas Shelton II sometime bef. or @ 1872--her child John Thomas Shelton III, b. Nov. 25, 1872, AR, was my gr-grandfather. Nancy is found on the Bolivar Co., MS 1880 census, as widowed/divorced, with 4 children: George - age 13, John Thomas III - age 8, b. AR; M. (Mittie Lucille) - age 5, b. AR; and Joseph, age 3. I can only account for John Thomas Shelton III and M. (Mittie Lucille), who were bro./sister. Again, did Nancy divorce Shelton, or did he die?
