My paternal grandmother, Bertha (Birtha) Harris. She died delivering twins in Wichita Falls, TX in 1901. Her husband, Charles Andrew Nixon, disappeared on a cattle drive and that is all I an find out. My father was then adopted by the Dr. J.L. Parkers in Snyder, Ark. We do know Bertha's dad was John Harris out of Bedford, IN. So, I don't know if they were in Ashley CO or not.
