My g-mother Mattie Dell Poole [maiden name Woods] b: Feb 1882 d: Abt. Aug. 1904 2. Her infant son David Poole b: 1904 d: Abt. Aug 5th 1904 Notes: per Newspaper article found on microfilm in The Ashley County Library, Hamburg, Arkansas "August 11, 1904: The baby child of Mr. Martin Poole of Milo died last Friday." [Kathynn insert: Last Friday -Aug. 5th? - This indicates the baby may have lived a short time after mother Mattie died during childbirth [we were always told they both died in childbirth]. Martin Poole is Mattie's husband. I know Mattie and Martin lived in White, Ashley Co.AR [near LA line]. when my mother [their dtr.] was born 1902. They may have still lived there when this baby was born, Mattie may have died during birth and may have been buried near White somewhere. Leaving Martin to come back and bring the baby to the area nearer her parents in Milo where the baby died a short time later? Mattie's parents Samuel Hardy Woods and Louisa [Ford] Woods lived in Carter Township, Milo Community and are buried in Judson cemetery [near Hamburg], although Mattie is not found in Judson. 3. Robert Simenton & Emily C. Woods [maiden name Strickland]. Ashley County. Emily b: abt. 1813 - d: aft. 6/15/1867 Robert Simenton b: abt 1812 - d: bet 1864 -1867 Thanks for any help rendered.
