Jo Sawyer **********Message Separator********** Hi Jo, I'm slow in responding because I just returned and got your message. I didn' t get the books and found out there are no more available. I talked to Imie Carpenter, author of Nobles, by phone and of course she has no more books available but told me if I would send a blank check to Ashley County Library in Hamburg that they would copy and send to me. Not much luck...First they returned my check with note attached stating too much to copy and didn't have the time to copy. I then called them and asked for only the history of Emily C. Strickland & Robert Simenton Woods and was only sent a partial descendant chart [after a month and another call] of which I already had. I don't know where your from but I believe someone told me both books were available at Dallas Library. Someone else sent me the article for Rev. John S. Wood [note without the s] from Goodspells History. I am not sure yet, if this Rev. John S. Wood [without the s on the end] is the father of my ancestor Robert Simenton Woods [with the s on the end], though I highly suspect he is since Imie states in her book titled Reflections of Ashley Co. that James Bromfield was married by his uncle, the Rev. John, and James is the son of Robert Simenton, thence, Robert & Rev. John would have to have been brothers? Are you a descendant of these? If so, I will be happy to send you these articles. Or are you needing the books for other surname lineage? Please let me know. Kathlynn in Garland TX [from AR & AR lineage's] ********************************************************
