For those of you who don't know or would like to know, the Bradley County Genealogy Society meets the last Sunday of the months of January, February, March, April, and May then breaks for the summer and resumes in September, October and November. We previously had elections of officers and in November Mrs. Beverly Reep, was Guest Speaker giving a presentation on the History of Bradley County from an 8th Grade Project that had a Grant given to them by Warren Bank & Trust Company. Meetings resume after the Holiday's with a first special speaker who will open our eyes to the world of the MASONS, followed by recognizing February as Black History Month. 2001 was the 100th birthday for Warren Bank & Trust and Mr. Gerald Burton wrote a biography about it's first 100 years. And no introductions necessary to this message board for APRIL's Guest Speaker! so! if you want to come and meet her, book your train, plane or automobile! Jann Woodard will be the speaker in prior to the May meeting when each person brings an item that they have found of history or interest and the "Show and Tell" about the item/subject. If you are not a member of the Bradley County Genealogy Society and you want to be send us your snail mail address and well send you an application with the amount of the fee. Then you will be able to receive the Bradley County Roots, as well as notification of books that the BCGS will be publishing for distribution.
