This list hasn't had a message posted on it since June and that was a query so I'm just checking to see how many bounces I get. I am searching for my grandfather, John R. Fisher, born about 1850 in Virginia. He went to Arkansas and married Elizabeth Lee in October 1878. I can find no record of my father's (James Roy Fisher) birth, in 1883 in Arkansas. The first cansus he was listed on was 1910. The only information I have was on my father's application for a SS#. I am, alos, searching for a company named Fisher and Tubbs, located near Des Arc, Arkansas.

The only information I have is 1880 census. It said they had a son named Johnnie. My father was born in 1883 and on his application for SS# said John R. Fisher was his father. But my Uncle John Louis said hios father was James R. Fisher. Both John R and James R. were born in Virginia. John R. married Elizabeth Lee in Arkansas in 1878. -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: WJhonson@aol.com > In a message dated 1/27/2008 10:46:40 A.M.
