Johanne, I will do my best. There was a newspaper in Washington, Hempstead county, one in Camden, Ouachita county (Edgar Allen Poe worked on it for a time) and one in Arkadelphia, Clark county. All of these probably carried a brief story. The state paper was good about picking up such stories. Patience, please. Best wishes, Ed bjmoore510 wrote: > I am looking for information concerning a shooting that involved Henry Black. The shooting occured about 1888 as his younger daughter was born in August, 1888. This event occured in Hope, Hempstead County, Arkansas. Can anyone tell me if there was a newspaper in Hempstead County during this time period. Henry was killed and left a wife and 2 daughters. Any help will be appreciated.
