I am searching for anything that would give me the parents of Artamissa Ledbetter. She was born in July 1867 ref. 1900 Census in Craighead Co. Finally found trace of her in HH of W. Bowen, Gibson Co., Tenn in 1880. Believe to be her uncle as she is listed as a niece. Have a document of Power of Attorney that she gave B.S. her husband in 1895 in an estate disbursement of Robert Bowen. She mar: B.S. Lunsford 28 Jan 1886. They had 8 children including twins. B.S. d: 24 Oct 1907 and is bur: in Pleasant Grove Cem. in Jonesboro, Craighead Co. Through documents I know she was still alive in 1895 and then in 1905 through a land sale she was not listed as a wife, it was crossed out, so I assume she had died by then. The family story is that she had the twins in 1904, and in 1906 one twin died and then in 1907 B.S. died, she died somewhere between 1904 and 1905. Is there anything in any o! f your old newspaper files on her death in Jonesboro or surrounding vacinity at that time. So far have not found her father and mother. She was born in Tenn.
