Hello, Could someone tell me if there was a death of a Robert Smith in Franklin County about 1873-1874 in the newspaper. Any help in this matter is greatly appreciated. He would have left behind a wife named Mahala or Mahela, & a son named John. Thanks karen

Karen, No Robert SMITH death was reported by the _Arkansas Gazette 1819-1879_. Sorry. A local paper, perhaps in Ozark, may have reported it. Published cemetery records may be your best bet.
