Note that John Autry in the census below in Crawford Co. was born in NC in 1810. This may be a brother or cousin. I have this 1850 census entry of Rev. Thank you, I am in touch with several other Autrey researchers, but haven't connected with anyone who, we can prove, is related to my Matilda. Yes, she was born in 1811, think in either Tennessee, Alabama, or unknown, all I have are notations on census records and of course, those are notoriously inaccurate. I have seen records that say her first child was born in Alabama, but they were in Arkansas by the late 1830's or early 1840's, first in Independence County, Hot Spring County, then in Pike County in 1860. With things changing as they did, they may not have moved from Hot Springs to Pike County, but the county boundry may have changed. She may always be a mystery. Thanks for responding. I know that my ggrandfather George W. Glover was shot and killed by his FIL John Snodgrass on Oct. 30, 1898 in Center Point, AR. On Nov. 4 1898 there was a small paragraph in the AR Gazette? and the Clay Co. Courier. In my excitement, I did not look in the days following to see if there were any other info about the murder or the obit. Can you look this up for me please?
