I wonder if your ancestor might be the Thomas APPS baptised in St. Endellion on December 25, 1795, the son of Thomas and Elizabeth (nee BOSANKOE) APPS. Thomas Sr. and Elizabeth were married in St. Endellion on September 22, 1787. According to information I obtained from the St. Endellion OPC some years ago, Thomas and Elizabeth had the following children (shown with date of baptism): Jenny May 17 1789; Mary Anne Aug 28 1791; William May 19 1793; Thomas Dec 25 1795; Joseph Mar 10 1799; Betsey Feb 28 1802; Loveday Apr 01 1804; Sally Mar 09 1806. Thomas Sr. was baptized January 9, 1763, the son of Josiah and Loveday (nee THOMAS) APPS, who were married April 20, 1749 in Endellion. My 4xg-grandmother, Joanna APPS, bp. May 6, 1753, was a sister to Thomas Sr. Thomas was buried September 19, 1835, aged 73. >From another family history site, I believe that Elizabeth BOSANKOE (or BOSANKO) was the daughter of William and Susanna (nee HAMLEY) BOSANKOE, who married February 15, 1762, also in St. Endellion. She was buried October 14, 1825, aged 61. There is a brief mention of Thomas Sr., his brother Josiah, and his son William in "The History of Port Isaac and Port Quin" (see www.jnorichards.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/HISTPOPQ.html). I don't know anything about Thomas Jr. or his wife - there appears to be an 1824 marriage for a Thomas APPS somewhere in Cornwall, but my credits at Family History Online (http://www.familyhistoryonline.org.uk/) have expired, so I can't give you any additional details. I hope that this is of some help - Tim Perrott Ottawa, Canada Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
