They could be parents to Josiah Apps mar 1749. There are also earlier records of the name EPPS in Cornwall, see findmypast.com parish record collection. The names EPPS and APPS both originate from Kent and can sound alike. It is quite possible that an EPPS or an APPS sailed from Kent to Cornwall in the 1600's or earlier and stayed there starting the APPS Cornwall branch.
