A William Apps is mentioned sent to New South Wales on the convict ship SPEKE which sailed from Sheerness on 8/8/1826. He had been convicted of larceny. There were refs. to the Ausralian marriage and death index which I did not look into. I also have an ancestor in Rye name of William Apps but have not worked out the connection.
