APPS, a Daughter, age 21, a Laundress, born Weighton (sic) Buzzard, BDF Robert APPS, a Son, age 16, a Grocers Assistant, born Leighton Buzzard James APPS, a Son, age 11, a Scholar, born Brighton, The 1851 census has Henry APPS, age 21, a Pipe Maker, born Rye, SSX Elizabeth APPS, age 22, his Wife, born Hastings, SSX Henry James Apps, a son, born c. September 1850, in Rye There is a marriage of a Henry Apps in the Rye reg'n area in 1849. Henry's spouse was either Elizabeth Edwards Phillips or Naomi Clarke or Mary Jane Bennett. This information was gleaned from FreeBMD. My Apps forebears in the 19th century were in Brede, a village about 8 miles west from Rye. I have linked the above family to mine, yet!!
