I have him in my files as a child of John Applewhite Jr. and Penelope Handley and as being born abt 1806. I have also seen Penelope listed as Penelope WOODWARD which would make her marriage to John Applewhite her second. This Woodward or Woodard would be a brother to Reverend James Applewhite born November 24, 1792 Robeson County, North Carolina and his wife Mary Ann Reagan/ Regan.
