I am looking for ANY information on my gg-grandad. The Llano co. Tx.cencus of 1880 has him listed as John Barnes Applewhite w.m. married to Annie (Teague) w.f. His father is from N.C. and his mother is from Ga. From what I can figure they divorced around 1890-1897. He moved to Titus co. Tx. around 1893, where he dropped the Applewhite from his name. There are records at the Titus co. court house where he bought land in what is still known as the Piney community in 1893. The 1900 cencus shows that his former wife had been married to a Harve Putman for three years at the time of the 1900 census. John Barnes Applewhite died in 1906(only date on headstone) and is burried in the Greenhill cemetary in Titus co. ANY information would be GREATLY appreciated. Johnny Applewhite Mt.
