Barbara Applegate Richards --------------------------------- Sunday 14 Sep 2003 From: MFiegler@aol.com To APPLEGATE-L@rootsweb. com JACOB APPLEGATE FAMILY- MISSOURI & KENTUCKY 1827 Looking for any information regarding the Jacob Applegate family. He was born ca 1827 in Missouri. About 1855 he married Elizabeth H. unknown, who was born in Kentucky. They apparently lived in Kentucky , possibly Louisville, from about 1856 through 1866 as all their children were born there. The children are: Melissa, b. ca 1856 Annie, b ca 1859 Henry C., b ca 1860 Catherine, b June 23, 1863 in Louisville and Mary, b ca 1866. By 1870 the family had returned to Missouri and were living in Unionville, Putnam County. Jacob and his wife and the last child were still there in 1880. Catherine Applegate, my g-grandmother was married by then and also living in Unionville with her husband Henry Franklin Hughes. I believe the other 3 children were also still in the area. Any info would be appreciated.
Just passing through to try to wake up the list. I see it has been over a month since I saw a post here l;-) Dan http://www.wvi.com/~wb/MatneyPlace.html
