My grandfather was Turl Cooper born 4-26-1902 and was adopted by Edward Cooper and Nettie Brooker and is shown on the 1910 census living with them in Campbell, Newport KY. It was rumored that Turl (Turley) came from the APPLEGATE family,although I have no proof. Turl had schizophrenia and was in the Athens County Mental Hospital Athens, OH the last 25 years of his life. Since we are talking about APPLEGATES in the KY lunatic asylum, I would like to know if anyone might have Turl's bio mothers or fathers name. Thanks!!
